The US special representative for Afghanistan, Thomas West, in an interview with BBC said that recognition of Taliban directly depends on the way they behave towards Afghan citizens. He said if Taliban take positive steps, the US will provide the opportunity.
He said that there are ongoing talks about Afghan frozen assets whether it should be paid as compensation to the families of victims of September 11 or not.
The US special representative said that they have talked to Taliban about different issues, and said to them to take positive steps.
