The Taliban ministry for propagation of virtue and prevention of vice rejected the reports of some media outlets regarding the ban on family gatherings in Herat, and called it unrealistic.
“Some media outlets reported that family gatherings in restaurants and hotels in Herat have been banned by vice and virtue directorate. Such rumors are unrealistic, and unsubstantiated propaganda,” the ministry tweeted.
Before that some media releasing reports claimed that vice and virtue directorate in Herat prohibited the men and women of families to go to restaurants to have their meals.
The reports added that the Taliban took the decision to avoid the harassment of women.
