The US Charge d’Affaires to Afghanistan, Karen Decker, reacting to arrest of female protesters said that the Taliban arbitrary detentions undermine stability in Afghanistan.
“Women speaking out about their rights do not threaten Afghanistan,” Ms. Decker stated.
Decker referring to the UN Special Rapporteur’s demand added that the continuation of this process is not peaceful.
She emphasized that Zarifa Yaghoubi and her colleagues must be released.
Before that women’s rights activists had said that the Taliban act against women show their fear of women’s activities.
