US President Joe Biden met and discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on how to counter Iran. In this meeting, the two leaders reiterated their commitment to ensuring Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon.
Referring to his “constructive conversation” with the Prime Minister of Israel, Joe Biden wrote on the “X” social media platform: “We discussed several issues, from the progress we have made on integration efforts to the viability of a two-state solution, upholding our democratic values, and countering Iran.”
In the discussion, Mr. Biden stressed that Iran should never get a nuclear weapon and noted: “as well as ongoing close cooperation between Israel and the United States to counter all threats posed by Iran and its proxies.”
Meanwhile, Netanyahu suggested to Biden that preventing Iran from achieving nuclear weapons capability can “be best achieved by a credible military threat, crippling sanctions and supporting the brave men and women of Iran who despise that regime and who are real partners for a better future.”
Before this meeting, the White House announced that the leaders of the two countries would discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional issues, one of which was the solution of effectively countering and creating deterrence against Iran.
