Jan Achakzai, the former Minister of Information of Balochistan state of Pakistan, says that the Taliban have given the US an air base to fight IS-K, and drones are flying from Kandahar in Afghanistan.

He wrote on the X: “There are reports that the Taliban intelligence has given the Americans a base to fly drones in Kandahar.”

Achackzai added that the spokesperson of the Taliban seems to object to these drone flights, but the truth is something else.

The remarks of this former Pakistani official come at a time when residents of Paktika and Panjshir reported drone patrols in the skies of these provinces on Sunday, March 31.

During the last two days, drone patrols were also reported in Kandahar, Nimroz and Herat provinces.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid has confirmed drone patrols in Afghanistan and called it a violation of airspace by the US.
