The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in a report said that some part of Uruzgan and Kandahar provinces are facing a “brutal” drought.
UNICEF said that this organization and its partners are working together to bring clean, safe water to Afghanistan’s most drought-affected regions.
“When the water truck arrives, it is as important as the end of Ramadan,” said Najeeb , a 55-year-old father of nine. “We celebrate like Eid.”
Before that Save the Children reported the high prices of food in Afghanistan meant that lots of families and their children live with just bread and water.
