UN expressed its concern over violation of human rights by Taliban in Balkhab

The United Nations Assistant Mission in Afghanistan [UNAMA] stated that the organization is following up the claim of violation of human rights in Balkhab district of Sar-e-Pul province.

“UNAMA is concerned by reports of civilian harm, displacement, allegations of serious human rights violations and property damage due to recent outbreak of conflict in Balkhab district of the northern Sar-e-Pul province,” UNAMA tweeted.

The news comes as Taliban have been accused of massacring people in Balkhab.

Humanitarian organizations have expressed their concerns regarding the reports of massacring of people in Balkhab. Taliban reject the casualties of civilians there.

Before that Taliban had been accused of massacring people in Panjshir and Andarab too.
