G7 foreign ministers urged Russia to stop blockade of Ukrainian ports in Black Sea to export food items. German foreign minister reacting to soaring the prices of food items around the world said that Russia wants to take hostage all the world by blocking the ports.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in a summit at the sideline of G7 meeting said that ways aimed to export grains safely from Ukraine must be found to tackle food crisis around the world.

The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, also has participated at the meeting. He and his German counterpart announced that they will together struggle to tackle food crisis.

“Russia is waging a cynical grain war, using it as a tool to make food prices [skyrocket] and destabilize entire countries,” Baerbock said in remarks alongside Blinken before opening the summit.

G7 foreign ministers also releasing a statement showed their support of the UN efforts to unblock the ways of export of grains in Black Sea and the scheme of the EU to launch the grains at international market.

The statement also added that Russia is intensifying the food crisis around the world by sieging the ports and bombarding the reserves of grains.
