The US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights, Rina Amiri, stated that the Taliban’s “relentless” measures against women and girls’ education has been repudiated by the world, including the OIC and Muslim-majority countries, as well as people in Afghanistan.
“These actions are not about religion and culture,” Amiri said.
“They stifle Afghanistan’s greatest potential.”
Recently the Taliban sending a letter to all private academic settings have urged them to refuse registering girls for upcoming college entrance exam.
They had closed the schools for girls above grade sixth, and deprived them of higher education.
