Taliban do not allow women without wearing burqa to go out and about in Takhar

Following the Taliban new decree on compulsory hijab, now their morality police in Takhar in different checkpoints monitor the hijab of women.

A source on the condition of anonymity told Aamaj News that Taliban morality police of vice and virtue ministry in Taloqan, Takhar, insult the women who are not wearing Chadori (head-to-toe burqa), and force them to go back to their homes.

The source added the Taliban do not allow the women without accompanying male guardians to tour around the city.

Few days ago, Taliban issuing a decree made it compulsory for women to wear burqa and observe hijab.

The decree provoked internal and international reactions. Akef Muhajir spokesman of vice and virtue ministry announced that wearing Chadori is not obligatory, women can wear Chadori as the ones wear in rural areas.
