by Aamaj News

The Taliban foreign ministry spokesman, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, claimed that one in three women in the US experience rape and violence, adding that the situation is similar in other democratic countries, too.

He reacting to statement of the UNAMA that had said Afghanistan had one of world’s highest levels of violence against women, stated democracies have the highest rates of violence and rape against women.

“Islamic governments are obligated to legislate safeguards to protect women from facing same fate,” Balkhi added.

He warned the international organizations to keep within their limits and respect human diversity.

Yesterday, UNAMA releasing a statement stated that after Taliban’s domination, the women in Afghanistan have been restricted and they are deprived of their fundamental rights.
