Instability in Afghanistan creates the risk of exporting terrorism and drugs to the territory of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO): Russian defence minister

Russian defence minister, Sergey Shoigu, at the expanded board meeting of the ministry, expressing his concerns about the situation in Afghanistan said that they are monitoring the situation in Afghanistan and will respond to any threats from the side of this country.

“The destabilization of the situation in Afghanistan creates risks of exporting terrorism and drugs to the territory of CSTO states. We closely monitor the environment and swiftly respond to all threats of the country’s military security,” he said.

After Taliban’s domination Russian officials have repeatedly expressed their concerns about the situation, exporting of terrorism and drugs from Afghanistan.
