The US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and Human Rights, Rina Amiri, met some ambassadors from several Muslim-majority countries.
Amiri in the meeting urged the Islamic world to champion the rights of Afghan women and girls.
The US envoy in a tweet said that they discussed issues as ban on girls return to school and attacks on Hazara community.
“Taliban policies denying girls and women education and jobs aren’t seen in any other Muslim-majority country,” Amiri added.
The meeting while took place that girls above grade sixth are not allowed to go to school.
The Taliban decision regarding closing the girls’ schools elicited a wide range of reactions across the world.
It is mentionable that a lot of citizens inside Afghanistan also criticized the Taliban for their decision regarding girls’ education.
