Jamiat-e-Islami party led by Salahuddin Rabbani issuing a statement relating to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Islamabad, Pakistan, says that imposing a nonelected tribal system will cause the continuation of war and catastrophe in Afghanistan.
The statement clarifies that Taliban have violated the human rights and the basic rights of Afghans as right for work and education from the very day that their group formed.
Jamiat-e-Islami urges the OIC members to convince the Taliban to intra-Afghan peace talks through which an inclusive government should be formed, and additionally the summit must not be a place for Taliban to propagate their own government for recognition.
Jamiat-e-Islami also welcomes the humanitarian assistance of international community for Afghans, and emphasizes that humanitarian catastrophe must be prevented.
