Pakistani media reported that foreign minister of this country, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, in a phone conversation with his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock, discussed the situation of Afghanistan.
In this conversation, Qureshi highlighted Pakistan’s role in evacuation process and insisted to continue to play this role.
Foreign minister of Pakistan pointed out that Pakistan has facilitated the evacuation of over 90,000 Afghan so far.
“The urgent need is to avert a humanitarian crisis and economic meltdown in Afghanistan, which will adversely impact stability in the region and beyond,” Qureshi said in this phone conversation.
Pakistani media have reported that German foreign minister appreciated Pakistan for its role on evacuation process, and hoped for continuation of this regard.
