Emir of Qatar: Taliban must adhere to Doha agreement

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, has once again stated at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) that the Taliban must adhere to the Doha agreement and avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

The Emir of Qatar added yesterday at the 78th Assembly of this organization: “In Afghanistan, we continue coordinate international efforts, facilitate dialogue between UN, countries concerned, caretaker Afghan government to ensure compliance with Doha Agreement & non-recurrence of past mistakes”.

These statements come at a time when the countries of the world have repeatedly criticized the Taliban and said that this group didn’t act according to the Doha peace agreement between the Taliban and the United States and didn’t reduce the violence during the two years of their governance.
