Putin called on Ukrainian troops to put down their weapons and return home

Russian president, Viladimir Putin, announced a military operation in Donbas an area in west part of Ukraine that recently the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk has been announced there.

Putin in his remarks that delivered this morning, urged the Ukrainian troops to put their weapons down and return their homes.

Putin added that Ukraine would be accountable for all consequences and it will hold the responsibility wholly.

Putin added that he does not intend to invade Ukraine, but does support separatists and carrying the operation because of them.

Putin added that he takes this measure to respond the threat of Ukraine.

Russian president also warned the other countries that any kind of intervention would come up with unexpected consequences.

Putin while delivered his televised remarks and announced the start of a “special military operation,” the UN Security Council hold an emergency meeting in New York. In the meantime, the Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Vasily Alekseevich Nebenzya, defended Russia’s decision, and added, “it is not a war, it a special military operation in Donbass.”

Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations said while they hold meeting for peace, Russia has done something dangerous.

British ambassador to Ukraine, Melinda Simmons, said that a wholly unprovoked attack on a peaceful country is unfolding.
and described it as “horrified.”

“The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustified attack by Russian military forces. President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering. Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way. The world will hold Russia accountable,” the US president Joe Biden released this statement relating to Russia’s invasion on Ukraine.

Interfox reported that the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, has requested Russian president to give opportunity for “peace.”

Interfox also report the cancellation of all fights to Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian foreign minister, Dmtyro Kuleba, said that Putin has just launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. He added that peaceful Ukrainian cities are under strikes.

“This is a war of aggression. Ukraine will defend itself and will win. The world can and must stop Putin. The time to act is now,” Kuleba expressed.

While Putin announced special military operation, the bang of explosions have been heared in few areas of Ukraine, including the capital, Kyiv.
