On Monday, Russian president, Vladimir Putin, after meeting French president, Emmanuel Macron, said that European countries will dragged into military conflict if Ukraine joins NATO.
Sky News reported that Putin described his meeting with Macron as useful and said there would be “no winners” from the ongoing crisis.
Russian president added that Macron’s view on security issues were realistic, and he is going to talk to him, after Macron’s visit from Kyiv.
“We have agreed that after his trip to the Ukrainian capital we will call each other again and exchange views on this matter,” Putin said.
Recently the tensions have increased over deployment of Russian troops on Ukraine’s border, Russia has repeatedly rejected any invasion.
On the other hand the US and Germany have threatened Russia to be sanctioned if it attacks on Ukraine.
