Afghanistan’s passport ranks last in Henley Passport Index

by Aamaj News

Afghanistan’s passport, difficult to access for many citizens and the process of its distribution ceases off and on, has once again been labelled by Henley Passport Index, global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom enjoyed by the holders of that country’s ordinary passport for its citizens, as the least powerful passport in the world.

Japan,  Singapore and South Korea are three Asian countries with the most powerful passports in the world.

Afghanistan’s passport ranks 112, and comes after Pakistan, Syria and Iraq, three Muslim Asian countries and the latter ones experiencing internal conflict too.

Last year Afghanistan and Iran’s passports ranked as the least powerful passports around the world.

Afghanistan’s passport has repeatedly been in the bottom of the Henley Passport Index for past few years.
