Bakhtar News Agency tweeted that passport department intends to extend the validity of new passports to 10 years for people above age 15.
Bakhtar added that the ones who want to get passport and are under age 15 can request passports with 5-year validity.
“The move is aimed to help reduce crowds of applicants at Passport Department and provide better services to the public,” Bakhtar added.
The rising level of poverty and unemployment has led to migration of citizens and that is the reason the number of people who request passport has increased and lead to gathering of people in front of passport department.
