Pakistan Police have arrested over 50 Afghanistan refugees “due to not having legal documents to reside in Pakistan” in the I-10 sector of Islamabad.
According to the source, these asylum seekers had gone to the shopping and selling center of vegetables called Sabzi Mandi for work and shopping.
The source added that every week on Sundays, a large number of immigrants go to the bazaar and other markets of Islamabad city to buy food and other necessities.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the interim government of Pakistan said yesterday September 16 that no citizen of Afghanistan can live in Pakistan without a visa. Anwar ul Haq Kakar said that Afghanistan citizens who do not have a visa will be returned to their country.
However, before this, the Pakistani police had arrested dozens of Afghanistan immigrants who had legal documents in that country.
Pakistani officials have recently announced that more than 600,000 Afghanistan nationals have entered Pakistan in the past two years after the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan.
