The Pakistan Institute for Conflict & Security Studies has announced in its latest report that the number of terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased by 83% over the previous month.
This institute added in its report that the government of Pakistan witnessed 99 “terrorist incidents” last month, which is the highest figure in a month since November 2014.
It is stated in this statement that as a result of this attack, 112 people were killed and 86 others were injured, which mainly targeted security forces and Pakistani civilians.
According to the information of the Pakistan Institute for Conflict & Security Studies, four of the attacks that took place in this country in August were suicide attacks, three of which took place in the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and one in the main areas of this state.
The PICSS noted in its announcement that Pakistan witnessed a total of 22 suicide attacks in the first eight months of this year, in which 227 people were killed and 497 people were injured.
The report of this institution states that the states of Balochistan, KP, and the tribal areas of this country suffered the most violence this month and witnessed an increase in attacks and insecurity.
However, considering the report of this Pakistani institution, it can be seen that the casualties of the security forces of this country increased by 51% in August.
The authorities of this country consider the members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistani “TTP” to be responsible for most of these attacks and criticize the Afghan Taliban for giving shelter to this group.
