The National Resistance Front (NRF) said guerrillas of the NRF in Faizabad city targeted a vehicle which was carrying the security chief of Taliban, Mawlawi Rashad, as a result he was severely wounded and two of his bodyguards were killed.
According to NRF statement the incident took place around 10:00 a.m. in Pul-e-Sabiqa – known as Burhanuddin Rabbani bridge– in Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan.
The news comes as this morning local sources in Badakhshan told Aamaj News that security chief of Taliban in Faizabad were wounded as a result of an explosion.
Local authorities of Taliban in Badakhshan have not stated anything about this incident yet.
