Deputy spokesman of Taliban’s government, Inamullah Samangani, tweeted that the mejority of the media which formed in past two decades were secretly supported by government and some internal and foreign circles, which did not lead to their economic self-sufficiency.
Mr. Samangani added that for freedom of speech it is necessary that the media should be really free, and the freedom of media is not achievable without economic self-sufficiency. Adding that no wonder if media are doomed to fail.
He continued that right now a number of news agencies and TV channels are on the verge of collapse due to economic situation and lack of income. The better way is that to form a media market and media through competition get their rights and be independent.
