Josep Borrel the EU envoy for foreign affairs reacting to Taliban’s recent decision regarding the compulsory hijab said that every Afghan woman and man have the right to decide on how to dress.
“Taliban must address education, health, economic and security challenges and respect their commitments to the Afghan people and human rights obligations,” Mr. Borrel added
The news cones as the Taliban ministry for propagation of virtue and prevention of vice in its recent restrictions added that observing hijab is compulsory for adult women.
The ministry said that Chadori (head-to-toe burqa) is the ideal type of hijab.
