Prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan known as Taliban Khan said that Islamic world must engage with Afghan current authorities to promote human rights, especially women’s rights, encourage greater inclusivity, and develop effective strategies to eliminate the terrorist threat from the country.
Khan in an article to Arab news said that after 40 years, there is a real opportunity to restore peace and security in Afghanistan and the region.
“We must act collectively to avert a humanitarian crisis and economic collapse in Afghanistan,” prime minister of Pakistan said.
OIC Holds its 48th session of council of foreign ministers in Islamabad, Pakistan.
In this session foreign ministers of OIC will discuss different issues relating to Islamic countries in particular Islamophobia.
Foreign minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, said that their efforts were fruitful and the UN set March 15 as International Day to Combat Islamophobia.
The news comes as OIC members earlier held a meeting in Islamabad and they all committed to provide humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan.
