Lack of fund is the main reason for the closure of governmental universities: Haqqani

Today acting minister of higher education, Abdul Baqi Haqqani, in a press conference said that there are 40 governmental and 150 private universities in Afghanistan. All private universities have continued their activities since September 6, 2021 and governmental universities will resume their activities very soon.

Acting minister of higher education said that lack of fund and economic problems are the main reasons for the closure of governmental universities.

Haqqani added they are trying to raise the standards of Afghan universities so that they can compete other universities around the world.
