Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary General, referring to the economic situation in Afghanistan said that more than half of the population are facing extreme poverty in Afghanistan.
He addressing the world leaders said that they are gridlocked in colossal global dysfunction, and are not ready to address the big challenges.
Associated Press reported that at the opening of the UN 78th summit Mr. Guterres pointed to the war in Ukraine, the increasing of tensions all around the world as well as climate change and decaying economic situation.
He added that the international community is not ready to tackle big difficulties and challenges.
The UN chief said that the climate changes is happening rapidly across the world, and recently Pakistan witnessed one of the disasters.
He added that the level of greenhouse gases must decrease to 45% by 2030, and the countries and companies must pay the price of their actions.
