جورج لاریا ایدجی، مسوول منطقه‌ای صندوق حمایت از کودکان سازمان ملل متحد (یونیسف) ام‌روز (یک‌شنبه، ۴ ثور) با نشر توییتی گفته است که در یک هفته گذشته دست‌کم ۵۰ دختر و پسر در افغانستان جان‌شان را از دست داده‌اند.
او اما علاوه کرده است که طبق گزارش‌ها انتظار می‌رود این رقم افزایش نیز پیدا کند.
آقای ایدجی افزوده است که در انفجار روز (جمعه، ۱ ثور) در مسجد «مولوی اسکندر» در ولسوالی امام‌صاحب ولایت کندز، دست‌کم ۴ کودک کُشته شده و شمار زیاد دیگر آسیب‌های وحشت‌ناک دیده‌اند.
این مقام یونیسف تصریح کرده است که خشونت علیه کودکان در همه شکل‌های آن باید از همین اکنون متوقف شود.
قابل ذکر است که این آمار از چندین انفجار در شهرهای مختلف کشور طی یک هفته‌ی گذشته ثبت شده است.
