وزارت معادن و پترولیم تحت مدیریت طالبان اعلام کرده که یک هزار و ۲۴ قیراط زمرد استخراج شده از ولایت پنجشیر را به ارزش ۱۳۱ هزار و ۴۰۰ دالر امریکایی فروخته است.
این وزارت‌خانه طالبان امروز (یک‌شنبه، ۲ میزان) با نشر پیامی در شبکه «ایکس» اعلام کرده است که این مقدار زمرد از طریق «مزایده و با حضورداشت» مقام‌های محلی این گروه در ولایت پنجشیر فروخته شده است.
در همین حال شاه‌ملنگ روح‌الله، معاون والی طالبان در این ولایت یا اظهار این‌که استخراج زمرد پنجشیر را «قانونی» است افزوده که برای دومین بار زمرد پنجشیر در یک داوطلبی به فروش رسید که بیش از ۱۴۹۲ کریت زمرد بوده است.
گفتنی‌ست که طالبان در اوایل ماه اسد سال جاری کار استخراج معدن زمرد را در ولسوالی حصه اول ولایت پنجشیر آغاز کرده است اعلام کردند که به ۲۰۰ معدن‌کار زمرد جواز میدهند؛ که بر اساس ارقام طالبان «۷۵۰ معدن زمرد در پنجشیر به ثپت رسیده و از این میان ۵۰۰ معدن فعال است.»
