روسیه امروز (روز سه‌شنبه، ۲۴ حوت) در واکنش به ادامه تحریم‌های غرب، جو بایدن، رییس جمهور، آنتونی بلینکن، وزیر امور خارجه‌ی امریکا و برخی دیگر از مقام‌های این کشور را تحریم کرده است.
رویترز به نقل از وزارت خارجه‌ی روسیه نگاشته که لوید آستین، وزیر دفاع، جیک سالیوان، مشاور امنیت ملی و ویلیام برنز، رییس سی‌آی‌ای نیز شامل فهرست تحریم‌های روسیه شده‌اند.
این تحریم‌ها پس از هفته‌ها فشار بر مسکو، در حالی که ایالات متحده و متحدانش تلاش می‌کنند روسیه را منزوی کنند، اعمال شده است.
