شرکت نفتی «اکسان تگزاس» اعلام کرده است که در راستای تحریم روسیه به دو غول دیگر نفتی «شِل و بریتیش پترولیم» پیوسته و از «پروژه ساخالین» کشور روسیه خارج خواهد شد.
این شرکت اعلام کرده است که پروژه چند میلیارد دالری نفت و گاز را در روسیه متوقف می‌کند و سرمایه‌گذاری بیش‌تری در این کشور انجام نخواهد داد.
از سوی هم، این غول نفتی امریکایی، ۳۰ درصد از پروژه‌ی جزیره ساخالین را در اختیار دارد و با دو تولید کننده‌ی نفتی دیگر، شرکت جاپانی «سودکو» و شرکت هندی «او‌ان‌جی‌سی ویدش» در این پروژه سهیم است.
این در حالی‌ست که قیمت یک بُشکه نفت ام‌روز در بازارهای جهان به ۱۱۰ دالر امریکایی رسیده است و این بیش‌ترین قیمت نفت در هشت سال اخیر می‌باشد.
«اکسان موبیل»، دومین شرکت نفتی بزرگ جهان است که بنیان‌گذار این شرکت، جان دیویس راکفلر، ثروت‌مند مشهور امریکایی است که اکنون افراد صاحب مقام و سرمایه‌دار شرکت‌ها و موسسه‌های بزرگی هم‌چو مدیر اجرایی شرکت «اوراکل و وودافو»، رییس پیشین دانش‌گاه «تگزاس»، رییس «آی‌بی‌ام»، رییس «پیپسی کولا» و رییس «ای‌تی» اند که از عضوهای هیئت مدیره این غول نفتی هستند.
قیمت نفت در حالی افزایش یافته است که وزیر صنایع جاپان در بیانیه‌ای اعلام کرده است که عضوهای آژانس جهانی انرژی توافق کرده‌اند که به‌طور مجموع ۶۰ میلیارد بُشکه از ذخیره‌های خود را روانه‌ی بازار کنند تا قیمت نفت را در بازار کاهش دهند.
آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی ۳۱ عضو دارد که به‌طور عمده کشورهای صنعتی هستند و ام‌روز جلسه‌‌ی ویژه برگزار کردند.
این درحالی‌ست که پس از حمله‌ی نظامی روسیه بر اوکراین، مسکو با موج عظیمی از تحریم‌های غرب روبه‌رو شده است.
در تازه‌ترین فرمان ولادیمیر پوتین، رییس‌جمهور روسیه گفته است که شهروندان این‌کشور نمی‌توانند با بیش از ۱۰ هزار دالر امریکایی کشور را ترک کنند. این دستور از ام‌روز به بعد اجرا خواهد شد.
در همین حال، کشورهای غربی هشدار داده‌اند که اگر حمله‌های روسیه بر اوکراین قطع نشود علیه این کشور تحریم‌های سنگین‌تری را وضع خواهند کرد.
