شیخ تمیم بن حمد آل‌ثانی، امیر قطر در مجمع عمومی سازمان ملل بار دیگر گفته است طالبان باید به توافق‌نامه دوحه پابند باشند و از تکرار اشتباهات گذشته جلوگیری کنند.
امیر قطر روز گذشته در هفتادوهشتمین مجمع این سازمان افزوده است: «ما بر هماهنگی تلاش‌های بین‌المللی و تسهیل گفت‌و‌گو بین سازمان ملل، کشورهای ذیربط و طالبان برای اطمینان از پابندی به توافق‌نامه دوحه ادامه می‌دهیم، به گونه‌ی که عدم تکرار اشتباه‌های گذشته را تضمین می‌کند.»
این اظهارات در حالی‌ست که کشورهای جهان بارها با انتقاد از طالبان گفته‌اند که این گروه طی دوسال رژیم شان بر اساس توافق‌نامه صلح دوحه بین طالبان و امریکا عمل نکرده و خشونت‌ها را کاهش نداده‌اند.
