طالبان حمله به سه روحانی در حرم امام رضا در شهر مشهد ایران را محکوم کرده‌اند.
ذبیح‌الله مجاهد، سخن‌گوی طالبان، روز (چهارشنبه، ۱۷ حمل) در توییتی گفته است که این حمله ربطی به افغانان و افغانستان ندارد.
این در حالی‌ست که یک فرد مهاجم روز سه‌شنبه هفته‌ی جاری در صحن حرم امام رضا با چاقو به سه روحانی حمله کرد که در اثر آن یک روحانی جان باخت و دو تن دیگر زخم برداشتند.
مقام‌های ایرانی این حمله را «تروریستی» خوانده و محکوم کردند.
رییس‌جمهور ایران ضمن محکوم کردن این روی‌داد گفت: «این حادثه تحت تأثیر گروه‌های تکفیری امریکایی صورت گرفته است.»
خبرگزاری تسنیم ایران گزارش داده است که فرد مهاجم عبداللطیف مرادی نام داشته، ۲۱ ساله بوده و اُزبیک‌تبار است که یک سال پیش از طریق پاکستان به ایران وارد شده است.
نیروهای امنیتی ایران شش نفر دیگر به شمول دو برادر عبداللطیف مرادی را نیز بازداشت کرده‌اند.
