محمد محقق، رهبر حزب وحدت ملی مردم افغانستان می‌گوید که طالبان در حالی‌که ادعا دارند که تبعیض قومی و مذهبی را علیه هیچ‌قوم افغانستان اعمال نمی‌کنند و مجموعه‌های از شوراهای هزاره‌گی و تشیع در کابل هم حمایت شان را از طالبان اعلام کردهاند؛ اما در عوض طالبان اقدام‌های تبعیض‌آمیز، ضد هزاره‌گی و ضد شیعی را به راه انداخته‌اند.
او در برگه‌ی فیس‌بوکش نگاشته: «طالبان در این روزها ۱۵۰۰ نیروی لوای ۲ از قول اردوی تندر پکتیا را به بامیان فرستاده و در ولسوالی یکاولنگ، پنجاب و ورس گروپ‌های ضربتی شان مانور می‌دهند و در میان مردم وحشت ایجاد می‌کنند؛ در حالی‌که مردمان هزاره بامیان تاکنون کدام اقدامی علیه طالبان انجام نداده‌اند.»
آقای محقق تصریح کرده است که ولسوالی مالستان را که صدها سال مربوط ولایت غزنی بوده و به‌دلیل آب‌ریزه و تناسب جغرافیایی و نزدیکی به مرکز ولایت، دست‌رسی آسان داشته و مشترکات بیش‌تر با غزنی داشته است از بدنه‌ی ولایت غزنی از سوی طالبان جدا شده به ولایت دایکندی مربوط شده است.
رهبر حزب وحدت علاوه کرده است که طالبان سلاح‌های شخصی مردم شیعه را که از زمان جهاد برای امنیت میان قریه‌های شان در اختیار آنان بوده و مربوط هیچ حکومت و حزب نمی‌شد جمع‌آوری کردهاند.
محمد محقق در آخرین مورد اضافه کرده است: «طالبان بزرگان هزاره از منطقه حوت‌قول جاغوری را حبس کردهاند تا مجبور شوند زمین‌های خوب شان را که مورد علاقه قریه رسنه که از قوم پشتون می‌باشد به آنان تحویل دهند.»
