وزارت امور داخله‌ی طالبان می‌گوید که انفجار امروز در سرای شهزاده، بزرگ‌ترین مرکز تبادله ارز کشور انفجار ناشی از پرتاب «بمب دستی» از سوی یک دزد بوده است. به گفته‌ی این وزارت در نتیجه‌ی این روی‌داد ده نفر زخمی شدهاند.
وزارت داخله گفته که این فرد قصد دزدی پول از سرای شهزاده را داشته است.
اما نوار‌های‌که در اختیار آماج قرار گرفته نشان می‌دهد که این روی‌داد تلفات بیش‌تر در پی داشته است.
با این حال شاهدان عینی به آماج می‌گویند که در این روی‌داد دست‌کم ۳۰ تن زخمی شدهاند.
این انفجار در حالی رخ داده که در روزهای گذشته در چندین ولایت انفجار صورت گرفته است.
