او افزود، اتحادیه اروپا باید از مردم افغانستان حمایت کند تا از فروپاشی اقتصادی و اجتماعی جلوگیری شود.
این در حالی‌ست که با به قدرت رسیدن طالبان، نگرانی‌ها از وضعیت بد اقتصادی مردم افزایش یافته است.
