رینا امیری، نماینده ویژه‌ی ایالات متحده‌ی امریکا در امور زنان افغانستان و حقوق‌بشر می‌گوید که احیای حقوق زنان و دختران افغانستان و حمایت از جمعیت‌های آسیب‌پذیر برای هرگونه پیش‌رفت با طالبان ضروری است.
خانم امیری شب گذشته با نشر رشته توییتی با بیان این موضوع درباره‌ی انحلال کمیسیون مستقل حقوق‌بشر، کمیسیون نظارت بر قانون اساسی و شورای عالی مصالحه‌ی ملی از سوی طالبان ابراز نگرانی کرده است.
او علاوه کرده است که انحلال این نهادهای دولتی با خواسته‌های افغانان در تناقض است و باید اصلاح شود.
نام‌برده هم‌راه با توماس وست، نماینده ویژه‌ی ایالات متحده‌ی امریکا در امور افغانستان با امیرخان متقی، وزیر خارجه‌ی طالبان نیز گفت‌وگو کرده است.
پیش از این، توماس وست در رشته تویتی نوشته بود که مخالفت یک‌پارچه‌ی بین‌المللی را با محدودیت‌های مداوم و در حال گسترش طالبان بر حقوق و نقش زنان و دختران در جامعه اعلام کرده است.
