Twenty thousand Afghan citizens are waiting to be evacuated to Germany

Deutsche Welle News quoting foreign ministry of Germany reported that 20 thousand Afghan citizens are waiting to be evacuated to Germany, and the number is changing as well.

According to German media these people are Germany’s local allies in Afghanistan, singers, journalists, university professors and students, and human and women’s rights activists with their families.

Government of Germany has announced human and women’s rights activists, singers, journalists, and university professors and students as the people who are under threat.

According to foreign ministry of Germany since the Taliban seized power, Germany has so far helped around 10,000 people to leave Afghanistan. Some 5300 of them left as part of the military evacuation and just under 5000 left during phase 2.

According to DW until December 27, about 446 people which became 1462 people counting their relatives and families arrived in Germany.

Earlier people were worried about the cessation of evacuation process, because Taliban urged seats for their own supporters.
