Pakistan’s FM meets the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Borrell

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated that he had a meeting with Jalil Abbas Jilani, the interim foreign minister of Pakistan, and discussed Afghanistan and the situation of women and girls in this country.

Today September 22, Josep Borrell wrote on his “X” page that in his conversation with Jalil Abbas Jilani on the sidelines of the Geneva conference, he focused on the situation in Afghanistan.

Borrell called the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan worrying and noted that the special focus of this meeting was on Afghanistan and the “worrying situation” of women and girls in this country.

The Geneva Conference on Climate Resilient was held in January this year, hosted by Pakistan and the United Nations.
