Elaha’s family urges intl organizations to rescue her

Elaha Dilawarzai’s family in a letter to the Red Crescent’s office in Kabul has urged to rescue her in cooperation with UNAMA.

She has placed a phone call after her abduction from Pakistan so that the family could hear the voice of Qari Saeed Khosty, former spokesman of Taliban’s Interior Ministry and the one who allegedly raped, brutalized and forced to marry her, and sobbing of some other female prisoners, Elaha’s sister told Aamaj News.

Yesterday, the family writing a letter to Red Crescent’s office stated that she is in Taliban’s custody in National Directorate of Security, Kabul, and Taliban continue to “torture” her.

According to the family a certain Human First organization evacuated her to Pakistan, and then gave her address to the Taliban members.

The family emphasized that they have repeatedly offered their evidence to organizations as UNAMA, but so far no measure has been taken.

The letter reads that two Mullahs of Taliban, Sheikh Hamasi and Abdul Hakim Haqqani, have sentenced her to death.

They complain of the international organizations’ carelessness adding that they have not tried sufficiently to rescue her, and the world’s silence towards her is “unfortunate.”

Elaha Dilawarzai, a medico, releasing a video back in August 30, 2022, claimed that the Taliban Interior Ministry’s former spokesman, Qari Saeed Khosty, raped her in prison and then married her forcibly.

Khosty rejecting the issue of molesting her, said that he had married her but then got divorced.

The issue of Dilawarzai has hit the headlines for past several months, yet no organization has heard their voice. On the other hand, Taliban refuse to comment in this regard.
