Indian police detected and seized 102 kg heroin imported from AFG worth $100 mln

Police of Amritsar, India, announced that they have detected and seized a package of 102 kg heroin imported from Afghanistan via Pakistan to this country.

According to Indian officials, this package is worth nearly $100 million in global market.

Indian police added that heroin was placed among other goods, which was detected after scanning. They added that they are investigating the case, and refused to comment on importer company.

Eight months after Taliban’s domination it is the first time that a consignment of heroin which is worth $100 million has reached India. While the Taliban prohibited cultivation of poppy in Afghanistan. But people in the know say that the decree of Taliban has not been effective, on the contrary it has added to the value of narcotics.
