The US Charge’d Affairs to Afghanistan, Karen Decker, expressing her concern said that the disabled women are being ignored in this country.
She in a series of tweets added that she had talked to some of the disabled women online, and they are facing immense challenges.
“They are beautiful, strong human beings, and I am proud to call myself their sister,” she stated.
“It infuriates me they are ignored by a system that should prioritize them for specialized assistance.”
She reiterated that the disabled women help the economy, families and society as other women.
The news comes as the disabled ones have always expressed their disatisfaction with their situation in Afghanistan, and wanted to attract the attention on their situation.
