Yesterday, Thursday May 19, 2022, the US president, Joe Biden, headed to South Korea.

Mr. Biden in his four-day trip will visit south Korea and end up in Japan.

It has been said that president Biden intends to discuss economic relations with the US two allies –Japan and South Korea.

But the question; will Biden’s trip in Asia in this particular period of time be for establishing better relations or add to tensions in the region?

Earlier the White House said that North Korea is preparing to launch a ballistic missile test as Biden heads to South Korea.

According to reports this act of North Korea is in reaction to Biden’s visit of South Korea and Japan.

On Wednesday, the White House national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said the U.S. is ready to respond any provocation of North Korea during the Biden’s visit of Japan and South Korea.

The news comes as the US former president, Donald Trump had visited Saudi Arabia and Middle East unlike Biden that considering intense economic competitions between the US and China, first visits the countries in east of Asia.

Additionally, last week Washington hosted the meeting of Southeastern countries of Asia which focused on economic issues, particularly the economic compitation of China and the US.
