If Americans and Russians start shooting at one another, a world war will start: Biden

by Aamaj News

The US president, Joe Biden, in recent weeks accused Russia of attacking on Ukraine, and in an interview with NBC News warned American citizens to leave Ukraine urgently.

“American citizens should leave now, It’s not like we’re dealing with a terrorist organization. We’re dealing with one of the largest armies in the world. It’s a very different situation, and things could go crazy quickly,” he said.

When Holt –permanent anchor of NBC Nightly News– asked Biden what scenario could prompt him to send troops to rescue Americans fleeing the country. Biden replied: “There’s not. That’s a world war when Americans and Russia start shooting at one another.”

The US State Department Separately on Thursday, issuing an advisory warning said the U.S. “will not be able to evacuate U.S. citizens in the event of Russian military action anywhere in Ukraine.”

The Western media and officials in recent days have repeatedly accused Russia of deploying roughly 100,000 of its troops to the Ukraine border, and claimed that Russia intends to invade Ukraine. But Moscow has rejected all of these allegations.

Although Russia has repeatedly assured of not attacking on Ukraine, but the US and European countries have increased their readiness for Russia’s possible development. Some of these countries as the UK have sent trainers and military equipments to Ukraine.

Biden in a part of this interview argued that if Russian President Vladimir Putin is “foolish enough to go in, he’s smart enough not to, in fact, do anything that would negatively impact on American citizens.”
