The UN special rapporteur, Richard Bennett, visiting Seh Dokan mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif, a place where had been targeted by suicide bombers during the month of Ramadan, said that attacks against civilians must stop, and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
The UN special rapporteur last night in a tweet said that he offered his condolences to victims’ families, and underlined that attacks against civilians must cease, and those responsible for such acts must be brought to justice.
During the month of Ramadan an explosion took place in Seh Dokan mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif, left 120 Shia worshippers dead, and IS-K claimed the responsibility.
It is mentionable that Richard Bennett is in a 10-day visit in Afghanistan to assess the humanitarian situation in this country, and discuss the enforcement of commitments in Afghanistan within international agreements.
The remarks came as yesterday an explosion took place in Istiqlal hotel, Kabul.
