Taliban ask the EU for help to run the Kabul airport

Yesterday November 28 the EU said that the Taliban representatives asked them for help, to keep running the Kabul airport. The EU delegation once again emphasized that Taliban should observe women rights, and take effective steps towards inclusive government.

The EU and Taliban have sent their delegation to Doha, Qatar, to run a dialogue. The US and Taliban delegations are going to restart their talks today as well.

The EU External Action Service(EEAS) releasing a statement said that the dialogue does not imply recognition by the EU of the interim government but is part of EU’s operational engagement, in the interest of the EU and the Afghan people.

According to this statement the Taliban have asked the EU for help, to run the Kabul airport.

Earlier Taliban said that they would not allow foreign forces to be in Afghanistan.
