Asian Development Bank grants $405 million to Afghanistan

Asian Development Bank releasing a statement said that this bank has approved $405 million in grants to support food security and health services as well as education in Afghanistan.

ADB said that its new assistance package would be distributed by institutions of the UN to support Afghans against the unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

According to the statement of ADB, World Food Programme (WFP) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) would receive $135 million and $65 million.

ADB added that UNICEF would receive $200 million and will spend it for sustaining the delivery of essential health issues and necessary services of hospitals as well as providing vaccine.

After Taliban’s domination Afghanistan is facing humanitarian and economic crises. Which led to poverty and escaping of youths from Afghanistan, and caused a grave concern in countries around the world.
