The EU special envoy for Afghanistan, Thomas Niklasson, reacted to Taliban’s foreign minister remarks regarding inclusivity. Niklasson said that it is not the task of international community to define an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
“It is for all adult Afghan men and women to do so through transparent processes – on which they have also had a say – and respecting their rights. Perhaps a recipe for domestic legitimacy?” Niklasson said.
The news comes as Taliban’s acting foreign minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, earlier said that the international community has not defined inclusivity yet.
